When presidential candidate Barack Obama was scheduled to speak in Charlotte last month, the plane carrying him from Chicago began experiencing mechanical problems and had to make an emergency landing in St. Louis. To the dismay of awaiting locals, Obama had to cancel the engagement but did phone in to thank those who had assembled at the private event. Today, news agencies are reporting that the plane's problems were more serious than the FAA had stated at the time. See video below.
