You may now be able to put your addiction to Twitter to work for you--literally. A Charlotte-based company recently launched TweetMyJobs.com, hoping to capitalize on the growing popularity of Twitter and people's increasing needs to find work. It's a free service and fairly easy process: you sign into your Twitter account (or sign up if you don't have one), subscribe to TweetMyJobs job channel by the city and job type you want to follow, and you'll begin receiving job notifications on your cell phone. Employers can post jobs to TweetMyJobs.com as well.
I haven't taken the dive into the Twitter world just yet, and I don't see myself doing it anytime soon. I'm just now getting acclimated to Facebook. But tweeting for a job, especially in this recession, is as good a reason to join as any. Good luck in your job search--in 140 characters or less.
