WSOC-TV is reporting that a Charlotte man robbed a Wachovia branch on North Tryon Street this morning. Bank robberies happen all the time, which is stupid since no one hardly ever gets away and they get a whole lot of prison time when they're caught, but this has to be one of the dumbest--or most unluckiest. Reportedly, the man robbed the bank and the money bag he was given had a dye pack in it (of course). He then goes across the street to a library, I guess to count his loot in peace. Unbeknownst to him, the library had a police precinct in it. Clink, clink.
I bet this guy will end up being the butt of jokes on late-night talk shows or appear on the World's Dumbest list tonight on Countdown With Keith Olbermann (I love that show).
