Battle of the Bands Grand Finale
Utopia created this contest to find the best house band in Charlotte. The contestants have been battling for a six-month contract, a cash prize of $500.00, and an opportunity to play with a national recording artist. Bands Tropic Culture, Groove 8, and Elements of Jazz compete this week in the finals. The crowd will determine who wins. Proceeds raised will benefit Amped-4-A-Cure, a movement raising money to support cancer research through the universal language of music. 7 p.m. $10.
