Carolina Panthers wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett and fashion store DTLR are teaming up to present a free one-day football camp this Saturday, June 26 for Charlotte-area youth ages 12 to 18. The camp will be held at Hopewell High School (11530 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville) and Jarrett will bring along a few of his NFL buddies to show the youngsters position drills. There will also be a recruiting seminar for parents and student-athletes in addition to lunch. Youth are required to register by Thursday afternoon by visiting this site.
Jarrett, 23, is entering his fourth season with the Panthers. The team is hoping this will be his breakout season now that the number two receiving spot has opened up after the retirement of Muhsin Muhammad two weeks ago. DTLR, which has locations in five states and D.C. and locally at Northlake Mall, Carolina Place Mall, and Westerly Station, has held free football camps over the past couple of weeks in Atlanta (led by Falcons Chauncey Davis and Jonathan Babineaux) and Chicago (Bears linebacker Lance Briggs).
