I like this new ESPN/NASCAR TV commercial, titled "Invincible" ("Cause it's racing"), that began airing a few days ago. In showing the passion and danger of the sport, the ad creates the kind of drama and excitement NASCAR could really use right now (with sagging TV ratings and attendance). It's a great contrast that they're using slow motion to create imagery for a sport that moves at 200 mph. This looks a lot like the high-resolution, super slow-motion cameras the NFL used in many of its commercials last season, including the one featuring Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith ("Steve Smith in Slow-Mo"). And not that it matters much, but the guy doing the voice-over sounds a lot like the voice from the Miller High Life commercials.
