Sip and Stroll: Art, Wine, and Music Festival (Sept. 17-18)
This two-day festival will span all three levels of the EpiCentre, where artists will set up booths displaying and selling artwork, and more than 20 wine vineyards present wine tastings. Areas will be reserved for kids to enjoy face painting and other activities, while live jazz performances are held (Friday: Innertwyned, 7 p.m. Saturday: Uniq’blend, 4 p.m.; Fifth & York, 7 p.m.). End of Summer Nightlife Crawl
Celebrate the end of the season by barhopping Uptown. Locations include Corner Pub, Champions Sports Bar, Buckhead Saloon, Ed's Tavern, and Black Bear Saloon. Poetry Slam

Saturday, September 18

Childhood Obesity Walkathon
The Charlotte Chapter of The Links, Incorporated present this two-mile walk for childhood obesity. Ten-year-old NASCAR driver Matt Murphy will participate in the walk, show off his impressive race car, and assist the Links with delivering the message to children on the importance of staying physically fit. 8:30 a.m., check-in; 9:30 a.m. walk starts. Project Halo Casino Night: Helping Animals Live On

Black Diamond: A Signature All Black Affair

Concerts on the Green
Be entertained by the music of Davidson College Symphony and Jazz Ensemble at this picturesque green space. Bring comfortable chairs or blankets to relax on. 6-9 p.m. Free.
